How to Use the Dowry Gold Planner

Methodology – How This Gold Wealth Rank Is Estimated

This tool does not rely on official government data, as household-level gold ownership statistics are not publicly available in Pakistan.

Instead, the percentile ranking is generated using an educational statistical distribution model. The model assumes a realistic range of household gold holdings based on common cultural patterns such as:

  • Wedding gold received over time
  • Intergenerational transfers
  • Gradual accumulation as savings

The distribution is structured to reflect that most households hold small to moderate amounts of gold, while a smaller percentage hold significantly larger quantities.

When you enter your gold amount in tolas, the tool compares your value against this modeled distribution to estimate:

  • Your approximate percentile position
  • Your relative wealth tier

This percentile is a simulated comparison for perspective only. It is not a financial statement, audit result, or certified economic ranking.

Additionally, gold purity, making charges, resale value, and jewelry condition are not included in this calculation. The tool focuses strictly on total gold weight in tolas.
