Gold in Pakistan is priced through a combination of international spot gold (USD) and the USD/PKR exchange rate, then reflected through the local market. That means the rate you see on any weekday is not driven by the weekday itself, but by what happened in global markets and currency movement leading into that day.

When you look at averages across many days, you can sometimes see small patterns. For example, one weekday might show a slightly lower average because global trading activity, weekend gaps, or exchange-rate behavior tends to cluster around certain parts of the week.

The important part: these patterns are not guaranteed. They can appear in one period and disappear in another. That’s why this tool focuses on real historical averages across a selected time window, rather than one-off examples.

Use the weekday table below as a practical reference. If one day consistently shows a lower average over your chosen period, it may be a better day to buy — but always compare the live rate and the dealer’s final price before making a decision.

Methodology – How this data is calculated

This analysis is based entirely on real price data stored on TodaysGoldRate.pk.

Gold and silver prices are fetched multiple times per day from international market sources, converted into PKR using the prevailing USD/PKR exchange rate, and saved as a daily snapshot in our database. While prices may update several times during the day, only one final record is stored for each Pakistan calendar date.

For this weekday analysis, we:

1. Select a defined lookback window (for example, the last 90 or 180 days).
2. Group stored daily prices by weekday (Monday through Sunday).
3. Calculate the average price for each weekday within that period.
4. Identify the weekday with the lowest historical average.

The result is a statistical comparison of daily averages — not a prediction model. It reflects how prices behaved over the selected time window, not how they will behave in the future.

All calculations are performed using PKR values and the selected purity and weight unit (such as 24K per tola or 22K per gram), directly from our internal database.
